The XROS Mini Retro is built around a very straightforward vaping experience. There are no buttons, menus or wattage settings to adjust — just fill the pod, insert it into the device and inhale through the mouthpiece to vape. It also uses fixed airflow, so there’s nothing extra to set up before you start using it.
That simplicity is a big part of the Mini Retro’s appeal. Rather than giving you lots of controls to manage, Vaporesso have kept the device compact and easy to use, while still letting you change the feel of your vape through the XROS pod resistance you choose. For anyone who wants a refillable pod kit without unnecessary settings, it makes a lot of sense.
Choosing Your XROS Pod
The XROS Mini Retro is compatible with 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω, 1.0Ω and 1.2Ω XROS pods, giving you a choice of different vaping styles without having to adjust any settings on the device itself. As a general rule, the lower-resistance pods provide a warmer vape with more vapour, while the higher-resistance options produce a tighter MTL draw.
The 0.6Ω pod is the airiest compatible option and produces the most vapour, while the 0.8Ω pod offers a more balanced MTL vape and is a good all-round choice if you're unsure where to start. The 1.0Ω pod provides a tighter draw, with the 1.2Ω pod offering the tightest MTL experience of the four.

Which E-Liquid Should You Use With the XROS Mini Retro?
The XROS Mini Retro is designed primarily for MTL vaping, making 50/50 e-liquids and nic salts a good match for the device. These thinner e-liquids are well suited to the lower-powered XROS pods and are available in a wide range of flavours and nicotine strengths.
Your pod choice can also influence which nicotine strength feels right. The 0.6Ω pod produces more vapour, so you may prefer a lower nicotine strength, while the 0.8Ω, 1.0Ω and 1.2Ω pods are particularly well suited to a traditional MTL setup with 50/50 freebase or nic salt e-liquid.
