Vaporesso have added another compact pod kit to their popular XROS range with the release of the new XROS 6 Mini. Designed to keep things simple, the XROS 6 Mini features a large 1600mAh battery, adjustable airflow and inhale activation, with no screen or complicated settings to worry about. It's also compatible with Vaporesso's XROS replacement pods, giving you plenty of choice when it comes to how you vape.
In this blog, we'll take a closer look at the Vaporesso XROS 6 Mini, including its design, battery life, pod compatibility and some of the new features introduced with the latest generation.

What's New With the XROS 6 Mini?
Sticking with the simple approach much like the previous XROS Minis, the XROS Mini 6 prioritises quality over quantity. Vaporesso have made some genuine improvements compared to previous XROS Mini devices. One brand new feature that comes as a welcome change is the complete airflow re-work. The new Venturi Airflow system reduces annoying airflow noise as well as improving general airflow by reducing resistance through the device. You can still completely control the airflow by using the slider located on the side of the device, allowing you to switch between a tighter or looser inhale.
Battery capacity has also increased from 1500mAh in the XROS 5 Mini to 1600mAh in the XROS 6 Mini. It might not be a huge jump on paper, but it's a welcome improvement for a device that has remained relatively compact. The familiar Tidal LED battery indicator also returns, using five LED lights to give you a clearer idea of how much charge you have remaining.
The XROS 6 Mini also introduces a 60-second Smart Prime feature. After filling a new pod, the device gives the coil one minute to properly saturate before use. This helps avoid using the coil before the e-liquid has fully soaked into the cotton, as well as protecting you from burning the coil prematurely with an accidental fire.

Design & Simplicity
The XROS 6 Mini keeps the simple design that has made previous XROS Mini kits so popular. There are no buttons, screens or menus to navigate, making it a great option if you want a refillable vape without lots of settings to worry about.
Using the kit is straightforward too. Once your XROS pod is filled and inserted into the device, simply inhale through the mouthpiece to vape. The XROS 6 Mini automatically detects the pod you're using and adjusts the power accordingly, so there's no need to set the wattage yourself.
Despite the larger battery inside, Vaporesso have managed to keep the XROS 6 Mini slim and compact, so you still get the lightweight, pocket-friendly design you'd expect from an XROS Mini.
Battery Life & Charging
he XROS 6 Mini is powered by a built-in 1600mAh battery, giving it plenty of capacity for such a compact pod kit. Vaporesso claims the battery can provide up to four days of use on a single charge, although how long you actually get will depend on the pod you're using and how frequently you vape.
The device has a maximum power output of 30W, but there's no need to manually adjust the wattage during normal use. Instead, the XROS 6 Mini automatically delivers power based on the pod installed, keeping with the simple approach of the Mini range.
When the battery does run low, the XROS 6 Mini can be recharged via USB-C with 2A charging. This is the same charging speed as the previous XROS 5 Mini, the main upgrade is the slightly larger battery which will feel significantly better than previous models.
XROS Pod Compatibility
One of the advantages of the XROS 6 Mini is that you don't need a completely new type of pod. The device is compatible with Vaporesso XROS replacement pods, making it easy to find a pod that suits the way you prefer to vape.
At Prime Vapes, we stock XROS pods in 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω, 1.0Ω and 1.2Ω resistances. Generally, the lower-resistance options provide a warmer vape with more vapour, while the higher-resistance pods offer a tighter mouth-to-lung draw.
If you're new to the XROS range and aren't sure which resistance to choose, the 0.8Ω pod is a good all-round option for a balanced mouth-to-lung vape. You can then try the other resistances if you'd prefer something warmer and airier or a tighter draw.

What E-Liquid Should You Use With the XROS 6 Mini?
The XROS 6 Mini works best with thinner e-liquids such as 50/50 vape juice and nicotine salts. These e-liquids wick easily through the smaller coils used inside XROS pods and are particularly well suited to the mouth-to-lung style of vaping offered by the higher-resistance pods.
Your choice of e-liquid can also depend on which XROS pod you're using. The 0.8Ω, 1.0Ω and 1.2Ω pods are well suited to 50/50 nic salts and freebase e-liquids, while the lower-resistance options provide a warmer vape with more vapour and are generally better suited to lower nicotine strengths. We'd recommend using a lower-strength liquids as resistance decreases.
If you're unsure where to start, a 50/50 nic salt paired with a 0.8Ω pod is a good all-round combination for a smooth mouth-to-lung vape.
Who Is the XROS 6 Mini Suited To?
The XROS 6 Mini is best suited to vapers who want a simple and compact refillable pod kit without lots of settings to adjust. Its inhale-activated design makes it easy to use, while XROS pod compatibility gives you plenty of choice over how you prefer to vape.
It could also be a good option if you already use an older XROS Mini and want to upgrade while continuing to use your existing XROS pods.

Our Thoughts on the Vaporesso XROS 6 Mini
The XROS 6 Mini doesn't completely reinvent the XROS Mini range, but the changes Vaporesso have made are sensible ones. The larger battery is a welcome upgrade, while the new Venturi Airflow System builds on what was already a simple and reliable pod kit.
We think the XROS 6 Mini makes the most sense for vapers who like the simplicity of the Mini range and don't feel the need for a screen or adjustable power. It's easy to use, works with the familiar XROS pod range and still gives you enough choice to tailor the vape through different pod resistances and the adjustable airflow. If you're looking for your first XROS kit, replacing an older device or simply want the latest version of the Mini, the XROS 6 Mini is a strong addition to the range.
