Essentially, a vape mod is the battery of your kit or houses the battery and allows you to control the amount of power being used, you can adjust various settings on the vape mod to customise your vaping experience.
Some mods come supplied with a built-in battery, others require you to use an external battery. Most commonly, the mods that require external batteries will be a more advanced mod that produces high wattages, often containing two batteries, also known as a box mod or duel battery vape.
Almost all vape mods feature a USB charging port, if your mod has a built-in non-replaceable battery it will certainly have a USB port to recharge the device. Any mod that uses external batteries should be charged in a quality lithium-ion external battery charger for optimal safety and care of the batteries.
Almost all mods, other than pod devices, feature a 510 connection on the top. This is the industry standard fitting and is used on almost all vape tanks, you can screw on any tank to any device that features a 510 connection, the only thing to consider is if the device will output the required wattage needed for that specific tank and if that tank will aesthetically fit in with the device.
A VW mod is a mod that allows you to change the power settings and adjust how many watts you can send to the coil, the more watts you vape at the warmer and more intense the vapour will become.
Temp control is short for temperature control, some advanced mods feature a temperature control setting that allows you to fine-tune your vape to the exact temperature you prefer your vape to be at, once it reaches this temperature the device will automatically lower the power as you are puffing to continue outputting that temperature. This is often found useful to stop coils burning out quickly.
