What is a 10ml shortfill and how does it work?

Our MTL Collection shortfills come supplied in a 30ml bottle containing 10mls of liquid, there is 20ml of extra space in the bottle to allow you to choose your preferred nicotine strength. Once your nicotine shot/s and base mix (if required) has been added, the total volume of finished (ready to vape) E-liquid will be 30ml at 50VG / 50PG ratio.

How many nicotine shots do i need?

We've put together a handy table to explain how many nicotine shots and how much base mix is required for the most popular and simple mixes, please see the mixing table below.

How do i mix them up?

Our bottles use a high quality Flip n' Pour cap to make your life easy, just take the cap off and flip up the nib. We recommend adding your nicotine shot/s first and your base mix (if required) last, this way there is no need to measure any ingredients out. You can simply top the bottle up with base mix to the neck. After your ingredients have all been added, replace the cap and give the mixture a good shake for several minutes. Remember, wear gloves and eye protection when handling nicotine and wash your hands thoroughly when you're done.

Are nicotine shots and base mix included?

Nicotine shots and base mix are not included, you will need to add the required amount to your cart before checking out. You can get your nicotine booster shots and base mix here.

    What about steeping?

All of our E-liquids have been pre-steeped for two weeks before hitting the shelf and no steeping is required. Although it's recommended to let them stand overnight after adding nic shots for best results.

    Fantastic

Great to see 30ml shortfills for MTL vapers, especially as I mixed mine up as nic salts. Just added 2 10ml 20mg nic salt shots and they taste fantastic indeed. Works out cheaper than buying 3 10ml pre mixed nic salts. This little tart taste exactly what it says on the tin which is a win win. I hope this range expands in the future with some more desserts. Strawberry and whipped cream or a banoffee pie and custard sounds good. We will see, but what I have tried so far of this range custard and little tart are great.

    Very Nice

The first time I ordered this juice I wasn't sure if I would like it, but as I really enjoy several other flavours in the MTL I figured I'd at least give it a try. Glad I did, and I will definitely be buying again.

Great MTL juices in the new range.

I really like Lee’s juices. The Creme de Tabac is really nice and I’ve always been a fan of the Limesicle. Love them more now that you can get them in a MTL variant. Give them a go, you won’t be disappointed.

    About Shortfill E-liquid

Shortfills were created as a way for people to still purchase large amounts of e-liquid that comply with TPD (Tobacco Products Directive) standards. TPD regulations state that any e-liquid that contains nicotine can not be sold in bottles bigger than 10ml. For example, 100ml of nicotine-free e-liquid is filled into a 120ml bottle, therefor it is short-filled. You then have enough room to add two nicotine booster shots (usually 18mg freebase nicotine) to create 3mg of e-liquid.

You can customise the nicotine strength by adding more shots or fewer shots. However, keep in mind that if you want to add more than one nicotine shot to a 50ml or more than two nicotine shots to 100ml you will need to empty out some of the shortfill to be able to fit all of the nicotine in the bottle. Some people who don’t vape nicotine fill their shortfill up with a base mix. This a liquid made of vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol. This makes sure the shortfill isn’t over-flavoured but can still be enjoyed with no nicotine. Most shortfills are available in a ratio of 70VG/30PG or higher. This means they are designed for sub-ohm vaping in a high-powered device.

    Shortfill Vape Juice FAQs

For a 100ml shortfill, you would need 2x 18mg nicotine shots, and for a 50ml you would need 1x 18mg nicotine shot to make 3mg of e-liquid. 3mg is the recommended strength for shortfill e-liquid as it’s vaped in a sub-ohm set-up. These higher-powered devices heat the liquid quite high, allowing you to take bigger drags than usual. Because of this, you inhale a lot more nicotine per drag, so if the nicotine is too high you can have a bad experience.
